Veil Parasol Temple

About Us

A place of refuge, practice, and community — open to all who wish to enter.

01 — OUR MISSION

We exist to offer a quiet place where the Dharma can be heard, practised, and lived. Whether you arrive with years of practice or simple curiosity, you are welcome here.

Our doors are open for daily practice, ceremonies, and study. We hold to compassion in action, clarity in teaching, and warmth in welcome — so that everyone who enters finds something true to carry home.

02 — OUR VALUES

Compassion

Meeting every being with kindness, and letting that kindness shape what we do.

Practice

A living tradition of daily practice, sustained together rather than alone.

Community

A sangha where newcomers and elders sit side by side.

Service

Turning practice outward — in generosity, care, and the dedication of merit.

03 — COMMON QUESTIONS

Do I need to be Buddhist to visit?

Not at all. Everyone is welcome, whatever your background or beliefs. Come exactly as you are.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, modest clothing is best. There is no dress code — simply dress respectfully.

Do I need to register or pay to attend?

Most daily practices and visits are free and open. Some ceremonies ask for registration — see the ceremonies page for details.

Can I come if I've never meditated before?

Yes. We're glad to guide first-time visitors; no experience is required to begin.
